Republicans and Democrats both respect his integrity. Cheney believes his role in his position in the Bush administration is to serve as a candid but discrete advisor. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney stated that he looks forward to serving with an administration that will strive to achieve his goals by engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians to achieve a mutual goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on 30 January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, Richard moved his family out of Nebraska and moved to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was the head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
