Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 during an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. The year 1969 was the first time she participated at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first female to ever successfully complete a backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in entertainment as a teenager, when she performed as the figure skating duo of the sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer when she was in her teenage years. The path she took to success began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating by actors.
