Jenna Fischer's most well-known role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed television show The Office. The actress won 2 SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by an ensemble comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother, Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her an interest in theater.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her origins. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons for Being Happy. Then, she starred in Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) and her actual best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the author of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey), in which her journey between St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming an actor is narrated. The Office BFF's : Tales of The Office by Two Best Friends That Were There is an account of Angela Kinsey and herself, and their relationship while working on The Office.
